Welcome to the Soille San Diego Hebrew Day School, an infant through eighth grade school located inthe Kearny Mesa area of San Diego, California.
In 1963, a visionary group of Jewish leaders wanted to make San Diego not only a great place to live, but also a great place for families to raise outstanding Jewish children.
They wanted a school that would focus children and their families on a broad love of learning, an appreciation for the applicability of Torah to all life choices, while fostering a greater respect for oneself, all others, and the community at large.
From this vision, Soille San Diego Hebrew Day School was created as an Orthodox day school not only for Orthodox affiliated families. Today, more than 45 years later, Soille Hebrew Day School is recognized, not only as a Blue Ribbon Award winning national school of excellence, but also for graduating outstanding Jewish leaders of good character, for our communities locally and nationally. Our alumni are leaders in communities throughout the United States.
A Living Commitment to Values & Jewish Continuity
Soille Hebrew Day School prides itself on being an inclusive, broad-based community of families. Our culturally diverse student body comes from more than seven countries and from communities throughout San Diego County.
With children from observant and non-observant Jewish homes, we believe that through our children, the entire family can be engaged in growth, Jewish study and appreciation for its impact on the quality of our daily lives. Through our vigorous Judaic program, our students experience Torah learning as integral to their personal development.
Soille Hebrew Day School maintains high expectations for academic achievement in all areas of study, expecting graduates to excel in secular and Judaic academics. Beyond the values of hard work and the pursuit of excellence, students experience an environment that is a living example of a “model Jewish community” – where the shared values of our heritage are exemplified daily through mutual respect for one another.
A love for Israel, competence in Hebrew language, and a sense of responsibility to make a significant contribution to the betterment of our world are living values that our students take with them throughout their adult life.
Join us as we build leaders for our community – today and into the future.
