Producing Jewish Leaders – Locally and Nationally
In 1963, a visionary group of Jewish leaders wanted to make San Diego not only a great place to live, but also a great place for families to raise outstanding Jewish children.
They envisioned an Orthodox Jewish school that would enrich children and their families with an outstanding Judaic and secular education, instilling in each student strong Jewish values and lifelong love of Torah learning. We continue to believe that Torah study is integral to developing Jewish pride and fosters greater understanding of oneself in relation to others and the community at large. Built upon self-respect and respect of all others comes the responsibility to contribute to the betterment of our world.
Today, more than 45 years later, SoilleHebrew Day School is recognized, not only as a national school of excellence, but as a place that produces outstanding Jewish leaders for our communities locally and nationally. Our alumni are now leaders in communities throughout the United States.
A Living Commitment to Values & Jewish Continuity
Soille Hebrew Day School prides itself on being an inclusive, broad-based community of families. Our culturally diverse student body comes from more than seven countries and from communities throughout San Diego County.
With children from observant and non-observant Jewish homes, we believe that through our children, the entire family can be engaged in growth, Jewish study and its application to our daily lives.
Soille Hebrew Day School maintains high expectations for academic achievement in all areas of study, expecting graduates to excel in secular and Judaic academics. Beyond the values of hard work and the pursuit of excellence, students experience an environment that is a living example of a “model Jewish community” – where the shared values of our heritage are exemplified daily.
A love for Israel, competence in Hebrew language, and a sense of responsibility to make a significant contribution to the betterment of our world are living values that our students take with them throughout their adult life.
Join us as we build leaders for our community – today and into the future
