 A message from Margrit Bitton {Margrit Bitton}
  Preschool Director

 Welcome to the Paula Tannen Preschool. When I came to the preschool, my
 vision was to instill some of what I experienced growing up out in the country
 in Switzerland. We thrived on nature and our imagination. Everything was real
 and natural: we climbed trees, played in fields and forests and respected
 everything around us. We would etch rooms in the ground and pretend they
 were our homes.

Preschool should be an extension of the home. It should be an embracing, natural environment where all things are respected and from this, children’s imagination and curiosity thrive. Our children are free to take off their shoes, dig in real soil and climb real trees. Our classes have plants and pets and comfortable sofas to relax on. We give children time to play, explore and discover and we build our curriculum around their natural quest for knowledge.

We immerse the children in the warmth and beauty of a traditional Jewish life and teach Derech Eretz (kindness to others), Tefillah (prayer), Tzedakah (charity), Shabbat and Chagim (holidays). We reinforce each child’s Jewish identity based on joyful learning experiences.

I encourage you to browse this website and get to know our philosophy, our teachers and why our families love our Preschool! But reading about us, and enjoying the pictures is a pale substitute for visiting, speaking with us, and for seeing for yourself why you would like to join our community of families and supporters.

To really get to know us, visit us, chat with us and experience our uplifting, respectful and caring learning environment. I look forward to meeting you and your little one!

Warm regards,

Margrit Bitton
