I am beyond excited for my first year teaching at Soille! My B.S. and Multiple Subject Credential are from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After spending a year as a K-6 Literacy Specialist on the Central Coast, my husband and I re-located to sunny San Diego for his education. I spent the last year as a substitute teacher and as a private tutor, and could not be more thrilled to start up with my own classroom this year. I love engaging students in their learning, and strive to make standards relevant to students in their everyday lives. Besides my passion for education, I also enjoy reading (preferably at the beach), hiking, rock climbing, and creating things in my kitchen.

I grew up in a day school environment and lived in Israel after High School, attending both Bar Ilan University and an intensive Hebrew Ulpan (Immersion) program. After getting married and moving to San Diego, I knew I wanted to be part of the Jewish Community was lucky enough to find Soille Hebrew Day School. This will be my 24th year teaching Judaic studies at Soille and all of my three children have attended the school. I am looking forward to another super year at Soille, getting to know the students and working with them to strengthen their Jewish identity and knowledge of Torah.
