PARENTS’ MEETING

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

8:00 P.M. at the Day School

Election of Officers and Members of the Board of Governors

Please plan to attend this meeting, A quorum of at least 20 voting members in good standing* must be present or represented by proxy. 

Soille San Diego Hebrew Day School is a California not for profit corporation which is governed under its adopted By-Laws.  Each year the membership of the corporation votes to elect officers and members who have been nominated for election to the Board.   A copy of the school’s By – Laws will be provided to any member in good standing who requests one.  For more information, or to receive a written copy,  please contact Estelle Workman in the school office.

Absentee ballots will be made available by request.  If you cannot attend the PARENTS MEETING and would like an absentee ballot, please request it by calling Estelle Workman at 858-279-3300 or E-mail your request to eworkman@hebrewday.org.

The Nominations Committee has proposed the following slate of candidates to stand for election.  Each, upon election,  will serve a two year term (2008 – 2010).
Lionel Kahn for President
Emily Einhorn for Vice President
Members at large:
Yael Alpert, Iliana Glovinsky, Allen Gruber, Gavin Horn, Ellen Marks, Raphael Silverman, and Leah Singer

For your information, those Members At Large who will serve the second year of their two year term are:  Members at Large: Eilene Cummins, Merril Felber, Larry Kaplan, Alan Maisel, Todd Salovey, Marcia Wollner, and Brian Zimmerman.

*  To be a ‘member in good standing’ eligible to vote, your child(ren) must be registered for the 2008-09 school year with all accounts current.
