At San Diego Hebrew Day School, we are committed to fostering excellence in Judaic Studies by providing meaningful assessments that track student growth and proficiency. As part of this commitment, students in grades 3-8 participate in the JSAT (Judaic Studies Achievement Test), a comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate core Judaic knowledge and skills.
Each grade level’s JSAT exam is tailored to measure specific areas of Judaic learning, ensuring students are progressing in their studies. For example, the JSAT Level 3 exam assesses key Chumash skills through 60 carefully designed questions that evaluate students' mastery of foundational concepts by the end of 3rd grade.
Key Features of the JSAT Assessment:
✅ Targeted Content – Each exam level focuses on grade-appropriate Judaic skills, ensuring students meet key learning benchmarks.
✅ Flexible Format – The test is available both online and in traditional paper format to accommodate different learning environments.
✅ Comprehensive Reports – Detailed reports provide valuable insights into student strengths and areas for growth, helping educators and parents support continued learning.
The JSAT assessment is a valuable tool in guiding instruction, refining curriculum planning, and ensuring that our students are on track in their Judaic Studies journey.
