Our diverse parent body represents all approaches to Jewish practice. The Hebrew Day School community includes families who identify as Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, traditional, secular and everything in between. Each Jewish family who chooses to join our Hebrew Day family is welcomed with equal respect, as we know that although different in Jewish practice, our parent body all share the same goal of raising strongly identified, well educated Jewish children in a richly Jewish environment. Hebrew Day has a successful history of attracting and educating a wide spectrum of Jewish families, who seek to provide their children with a superior academic and comprehensive Jewish education.
Our school community is diverse in more ways than just Jewish practice. Our families live all over San Diego County, coming from Carmel Valley, La Jolla, University City, San Carlos, Del Cerro, Chula Vista, Scripps Ranch, College Area, La Mesa, Santee and beyond. Culturally, our families come from all over the world, including Mexico, Israel, South Africa, Russia, South America, England, Morocco, Iran, Turkey, Canada and beyond. The overall feeling of our school is a warm, committed Jewish community of families who strive to instill a strong sense of Jewish identity and pride within their children.
