Teacher Bio and Contact
Betty Weiser grew up in Brooklyn where she received a comprehensive yeshiva education, and went on to earn an M.A. in Therapeutic Dietetics from NYU and work as a Registered Dietitian. In San Diego, to fill a void and to overcome the apathy teenagers often feel towards Judaism, Mrs. Weiser formulated a comprehensive middle school and high school Yahadut program for girls, emphasizing how meaningful is a Jewish woman’s life. She loves to teach these ideas and concepts which motivate and inspire, yet often are overlooked in the standard Jewish education program. These concepts, taught to two generations of students and based on in-depth analysis of original sources, connect her students to authentic Torah thinking.
